Local teams active before break
Basketball action begins with the “C” team game at 4 p. m. , followed by the junior varsity at approximately 5:30 p. m. and the varsity at 7 p. m. The Tigers return home on Saturday to host James Irwin. The JV game begins at 1 p. m. and the varsity game is at 2:30 p. m. McClave High School will compete at the 48th Annual Lamar Chamber of Commerce Holiday Tournament this weekend at the Lamar Community Building. The junior varsity game is at 5:30 p. m. and the varsity begins at 7 p. m. The Lady Tigers will be in Colorado Springs on Saturday to take on James Irwin. The “C” team game begins at 1 p. m. , followed by the JV at 2:30 p. m. and the varsity at 4 p. m. This kit is just short of a jigsaw puzzle. All tt took was measuring the starting point and the rest of the court (including the three point line) all fell into place. It took 3 1/2 cans of paint and I still need to fill in the end of the key and three point line to get them to touch the out of bounds line. The advertised picture indicates that the key and 3 point line touch the out of bounds line. I guess those folks were OK with having their court marked out with dashed lines. The template is well marked and easy to use. I was able to layout the court and paint it in about 45 minutes. I wish the manufacturer would have included a picture of the template with the dashed lines, just so that it would not have been such a disappointment when I started to lay it out. Once you cut out all the bridged pieces to get solid lines, the template it not reusable....
