Thankfully my ultra-competitive older brother taught me early in life the value of game day. This week, the U. S. national field hockey team starts the Four Nations Tournament against Spain, Belgium and Great Britain. Dave was the quarterback of his high school football team, which in my 8-year-old mind made him slightly cooler than the red Power Ranger. On May 12th, 2010 at 11:46 pm. I molded this mouthguard following the instructions exactly and afterwards the mouthguard does not fit well for me. It hurts my front teeth when I’m biting down on the guard. In addition, the gel is very soft, you don’t even need boiling water to soften it. I tried just hot tap water during remolding and that’s enough to soften it up. And I think the guard is also too shallow, or maybe my teeth are too long. I think it’s because the back part of it (shock absorbers) is too thick for me. When I bit down on it, the guard bends a little and cause it to pull my front teeth inward. The first mold is the most important mold. I guess that’s a downside to all boil and bite guards. But that also makes the guard not fit as tightly....
