The story of Mike Cammalleri, and his Boston Bruins stick
18.04.11
“And [Easton's representatives] were like, ‘Do you want to use it. ’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, I’d love to. I’ll use it. ’ And they said, ‘If you switch to it, you can’t switch back, because we don’t want to see the first guy who went to it switch back. ’ I said ‘No, I tried the stick’ — I didn’t see the graphics — ’I love it. Give me the stick, I’ll use it. ’. So when his brand new shipment of Easton Stealth sticks arrived just before Montreal’s first-round series against the hated Boston Bruins, Cammalleri was, uh, a little surprised. Cammalleri can switch all the sticks he wants, but they’ll still be in Bruins colours. during games, he will switch sticks up to five times if he feels anything is amiss. “A freaking black and yellow stick,” as he puts it. Yeah. Mike Cammalleri is fastidious when it comes to his hockey sticks. If he thinks that he might want to switch — if the notion brushes up against the back of his brain for a millisecond — he switches, rather than let the notion burrow into his frontal lobe, and stay there.
